Government changes for investors with buy to let properties has led many to question if it’s still the best investment opportunity and what other alternatives are available. The move was made to help first time buyers purchase their first property, but in doing so, it’s turned investors away from paying for a second home for investment purposes.

The lender, Paragon, has stated this week that their buy to let products have slowed considerably as a 3% premium on stamp duty, which was applied from 1st April 2016, came into effect.
